Earlier this week I was at a swanky local establishment for company team building event. The activity was a cocktail crafting contest and we were divided into 4 teams and given access to bottles of rum, bourbon, vodka and gin, along with all the other ingredients- e.g., lime juice, tonic, simple syrup, various liquors, etc.
I told my team we got this in the bag and immediately my DDY cocktail recipe training went into affect. I grabbed the bottle of Appleton Estate dark Jamaican Rum, lime juice, simple syrup, orgeat syrup, and Cointreau. My co-workers stood in awe as I banged out three perfect drinks for the judges. We named our drink the "OGMT" (OG Mai Tai) and proceeded to win a landslide.
