If you're Portland and your GM is the guy that was the assistant to the guy that got fired and drafted Sharpe and Scoot, both whom never played college, it's not as fun.

Avdija is obviously good/all star and Klingan has a role on a good team and is a national champion and battled Jokic hard. Just can't compete with first ballot hall of fame.
 
Rui is solid. Averages about 12 ppg in 25 minutes. LeBron or Luka must like him or he’d have been moved.

The Zag who had the most upside was Brandon Clarke but he can’t stay healthy to save his life.

Cuog to watch is Cedric Coward. Could give Ant a run for his money.

Yeah I knew Rui was decent from their past playoffs. The problem is I want Gonzaga to have to shut down as a college. Maybe as much as Oregon.

The critics in this thread are right after watching my 2nd or 3rd game in person this year. Guys just, as soon as they can't make some wide open pass, just Jack up a retarded 3. I want Scoot and Sharpe gone. They also don't play Mattise hardly at all anymore even though when he's in he's an actual fucking basketball player and gets a steal or creates one every time I watch him.

The passing is what truly separates NBA talent and Nuggets do it and Portland doesn't outside of Jru and Avdija.

So what is the fix for the obviously shit product? I think they need to remove the three point line, entirely. Backup to that would be it's only available the last two minutes of each half. Neither of those things will ever happen, but analytics and the three-point shot have ruined the sport.

I'd hate to see the three point line go, but it's definitely ruining the sport.

They need to make the minimum age 21 (or three years removed from high school) like the NFL. There would be a ton of resistance to this and it'll never happen. The usual losers will scream racism. The product went downhill when second tier guys started coming out of high school and then were one and dones.

AAU needs to be cleaned up and there needs to be an emphasis on fundamentals, not just good athletes. Europeans can dominate because they actually teach that there.

Those are all things which would increase the quality of the players by a little bit, but would not materially impact the actual game being played.

Maybe the league could create some bs "safety" rules changes, similar to how the NFL changed the kickoff rules in the name of safety. Lots of NBA guys are blowing out their achilles these days. Maybe there are too many possessions and the league needs to slow the game down to "protect the players." Use that as the guise to get the actual style of play to change.
 
Also, gambling needs to be removed from all four major sports. MLS is not a major sport. It's for the woke who praise China and Iran.

It's clearly infiltrated. Guys are point shaving. We don't know how deep it goes, but the integrity of the game is in question.

Cuban is a douche and is clearly out of touch. Most fans want their teams to win.

Also, get the woke stuff out immediately. The NBA draws 1 million for national games sometimes. This is a failure.

In a hard cap league like the NBA letting in 19 year old kids after their one and done means that the 19 year old is taking money away from an NBA veteran. It's not like the league is taking away money from a black kid and keeping it.

The NFL kickoffs are bizarre and horrible. I still don't understand the rules. That, along with the Taylor Swift stuff was one of the final straws with me. I got more into the US beating Canaduh than the See hawks winning a damn SB.

The kids who grew up in the AAU stuff all year round from the age of 3 when they got to NBA age were probably around when I started to lose my NBA love. Seems like there are less characters and different kinds of games with that basketball machine format. I also don't know why but I struggle to get excited about the Euro players even if they're games are more interesting.

The buddy-buddy environment AAU and camps and shit in football have created have really hurt those sports. It's not as fun to watch sports when you feel like fans care way more than the players.

Setting a 3 year age limit would help. It's just me but I lost more and more interest the more I had no college context of the players. It won't happen but I'd also love that going straight to the D League isn't an option since you can get paid in college now. I agree pointing out that holding the guys out of the pros for 3 years just means a veteran is getting a contract is a way to pwn the libs on that one.

Sports gambling needs to die a horrible death.
