Sonics' return to Seattle could be in jeopardy by the crazy tax proposals

Yeah and they have the same concerns with Portland remodeling the Moda. The league is a piece of shit that took a poison pill Iin 2020, and now they're at their last ever godly TV contract and frantically trying to get teams where normal people actually want to be, in Vegas and Nashville.

The NBA isn't moving the Knicks or Lakers and they have even more retarded taxes

Yeah well, it's the Knicks and Lakers. Dallas is a pretty good example of how fucked up everything is.

There's so much going wrong with the league and we both know it.

What the blazers have going for them (the only thing) is that Paul bought the land and it's in a great spot in Portland, WA in terms of location. Owners now almost demand that. I don't know what the situation is with climate pledge but that is tough market if you suck ass.

Portland just now got an all star that isn't Dame. Which btw I like him so much I might break my rule and get an Avdija jersey just to piss everyone off down here. Fuck Portlanders.

It's a terrible situation though. Charlotte, DC, NO, and maybe Brooklyn should be contracted. Sorry I'll take it to the ngaf board.

It’s shocking how few fucks the Throbber gives about the NBA now.

Just a couple years back, Inside the NBA was must see TV and watched dozens of games each season.

Completely have lost interest in it.
The NBA was my first true sports love and specifically the playoffs I may have liked even more than college football at times. I stopped watching even the playoffs in 2022 and really haven't missed it. Don't have an exact reason why.

Silver is playing Seattle. Has been for years. I'm sure he loves commie Katie

I don't want them back. Don't care about the NBA

My point was simply that taxes aren't the reason

I was a huge fan for years. Then my son got me watching it again when he was k-12. I tried watching it the other night and they hoisted up over 60 3 pointers in one game. Boring as shit with zero perimeter defense. Its just a bad product to watch. But I realize that I am in the minority and certainly not their target audience.

I stopped playing pickup hoops about 5 years ago when all the 25 year olds would jack up a million threes and make 10% of them. And when you told them to stop shooting them they’d say the analytics support them doing that.
6th Grade AAU superstars do that.

They're all 5'7" pygmies.

Been there, ran those types off.

I still liked the NBA through 2016 when Lebron and Kyrie fucked over Golden State

By covid I was done. It wasn't the Sonics leaving its the game

I paid 6 bucks to watch Spencer Haywood. I went to the Al Bianchi summer camp and met Elgin Baylor

They were first and I was a kid

But it's gone now

My total Blazer gear is a cap that I have somewhere, maybe. The Moda Center is in a bad part of Portland with nothing around it. Haven't watched a Blazer game on TV in years and haven't been to an actual game for years. Decades ago used to listen to all the games on the radio. Now, don't care. In spite of the influx of the Euros there aren't enough quality basketball players to fill 30 teams.

You sound poor.

I have playoffs shirts, dame bobbleheads, hats. All free for < 100 level seats.

lol "bad part of town". Is there supposed to be a good part of town anymore?

Like every other pro team the best bars and restaurants are at the venue, they purposely killed everything around them.

Rainier at Dr Jack's is about all you need pregame anyways
