Is that the 12s are the pro football version of the Oregon Duck fanbase.

A group of previously uninterested people who have latched onto a football team because they have started winning and identify themselves as "part of the team".
A group of people who care more about making a fashion statement wearing multiple color variations of their teams clothing than what happens on the field. A group of people who, from my experience, mostly come from lower class backgrounds and equate the Seahawks winning to them being winners in life.
An obnoxious group of people who are mostly unacustomed to the ups and downs of sports and will not know how to react if the Seahawks lose the Super Bowl (similar to the people who cry their eyes out every year when the Ducks run into Stanford).

One final point for context is that there is a huge difference between "Seahawks Fans" and the group of idiots who call themselves the "12s" just as there is a huge difference between "Oregon Ducks fans" and the people from Puyallup who dress their kids up in matching pink, green, and black Ducks uniforms when they go to the South Hill Mall
 
Comparing pro and college fan bases is apples and oranges, blue collar vs white collar. Even Duck fans aren't as bad as NFL fans and I've been in a bunch of NFL stadiums. And, yes, also been to Autzen. Of course serving liquor in pro stadiums only makes things worse at those venues.
 
Another thing is both talk like they're 5 time national champs/superbowl champs when the reality is neither of them have accomplished anything.

If you call the season ticket waiting list going from 50k to zero in the mid 90's a strong fan base, then yeah. Back in 1999-2001 it was hard to give away a Seahawk ticket.

This is a horrible sports city for about as long as it has been around, games like this only come once in awhile, going to have a little fun before going back to all Sven mode and just shitting on everything while lighting it on fire.

I walked up to the box office the day of the game and bought two tickets on the 50 yard line 1st level ...

Sean Alexander scored 5 touchdowns in one half against the Minnesota Vikings.

Now with that said. I really don't care about the NFL since I went to college.

But I am Hookin it up here ... I fucking lived and supported the Seachickens through Behring, Flores, McGwire, Mirer, and all the other fucked up things this franchise has put their fan base through.

If I want to ride the bandwagon ... fuck you I will.

The funny part is that Oregon fans (on educe) don't want to admit they have dumb bandwagon fans.
I once pointed out that I talked to an "Oregon Fan" and asked him why he was a fan. He replied, because they change their uniforms for each game. I would assume that this person is also a Elton John fan.

Lets not forget about the other spectrum that wore "seahawks blue" tented sunglasses from 99' to 01'. Should we congratulate those fucktards for setting their money on fire? There is a fine line between being critical and a bandwagon, and the same with being positive and a seahook.
 
Yesterday I saw a dude with an Oregon jacket and a Seahawk hat. At the 7-11 getting coffee. Looked like a construction worker.

Generally people who went to college follow cfb primarily and people that didn't follow pro.

When I went to a Portland St football game, you could buy a beer. Of course with only 2000 people in the stadium it makes no difference....

I've been a 12 fan for about 3 hours now and I will not tolerate you talking bad about MY team like that. We have the greatest fans in the world! Love my Hawks!!!!
 
Just can't relate to a Seattle pro team the same way as an Alma mater. That's why I respect the cougers (just a little). Look at the shit they've been through. Go read their blogs. They speak of the *2* teams that ever made a Rose Bowl with such reverence, no wonder dawg fans are such dicks to them; so fucking hard not to be.
