As far as predatory practices it was your God Obama who got rid of the “middleman” which accelerated the cost of college because Uncle Sam guaranteed those loans.

Precisely. This was the plan from day one. I was working at a college when this began. There was a presentation by the Dean of Finance (or whatever) talking about the upcoming changes. Everyone was looking around the room saying, “but won’t this raise the cost to the students?” I was looking at them incredulous at their thickness. (I was in security, not academics.). I said, “Well, duh. The intent is to take over the loan business, jack up the cost, then cry about the cost and have John Q. Sucker pay. They were all offended at my cynicism.

The federal government has extracted billions in penalties from the US mortgage industry for "predatory" lending practices. Lending tens of thousands of dollars a year to an ethnic studies major for a four year degree is worse than anything the mortgage people were doing.
