I think due to them being an awful football program -- to make way for a new team to join. The excuse of distance is not good since Central is only a bit closer from Texas. They (SF) are just a bad football program.

Nobody, including the entire SF team, is that interested in SF football. Basically the far west is down to two D2 teams grand total.

If there ever was a college that should quit football, it is Simon Fraser, winning only 15% of games in the last 10 years or so of being in the US conferences
