Shaving Pole - What's your method?

I have a beard (ask @Doogles, it amazes him) and shave my head. I use a Gillette multi razor thing. Straight razors scare the shit out of me.

When shaving my pole, I first get it hard so that I don't catch any wrinkles with the razor. Generous shaving cream and a steady hand. Nothing special, really.

I hate real shaving. Bugs the hell out of my skin half the time. I am team stubble / 5 o'clock shadow.

I use safety razor at home and multi-blade razor when I'm traveling. Changing up works best for me.

I would like to try a straight razor, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

The main flaw with a safety razor is it works best with daily use. 2 day stubble gets harder. 3 days is impossible.
