Seattle Times compares ASJ and Kasen to Victory and Ruins

The Times had good journalists, but a terrible editorial board.
 
It's funny though. They're demanding the athletes be suspended to "send a message to other aspiring ahtletes". But if someone in the upper campus or on the Times staff had a DUI, would they be suspended from their job to send a message to their colleagues?

Typical Seattle Times. Line up the entire staff at the times. I'll pepper them all with my three precious pumps from my 12-guage. It wont kill anybody, it will just hurt real bad and give them all a reminder that it hurts these kids too when you just insist on disciplining, tarnishing their reputations and dragging them through your liberal muck. Disagree. The Seattle Times has had a hard on for the Huskies Football Program for as long as I can remember. If Sark suspended both for a significant number of games, they might temporarily back off, but any reasonable punishment that did not meet with their approval would be questioned in the editorial pages ad nauseam.

 
Fuck, les miles just pardoned a kid for 2nd degree assault and battery, and played a big dufus 2 years ago for kicking a Guy repeatedly in the head, while he was helpless outside a bar. Send the Seattle times journalists down south for an internship for a year covering LSU, then keep on with this "punish KW and ASJ " bullshit. Fuck you you little prickly bunghole sniffers. Find another real story to pursue, like the steroids that dipshitted mariner shot in his dimply ass.

The Seattle times is treading toilet water and this is an example of just that. Can't Sark just ban that high school journalism program from practice?

I like the fact he is saying FOff to everyone and keeping it within the team.
 
Gotta agree with the Times on this one.
I say let's "drop the hammer" NCAA-Emmert-esque style.
Suspend both ASJ and KW for the first play.
No doubt that message would be much more serious than,
say, spending a night in jail, paying heavy fines, being publicly
embarrassed, having a police record, etc., etc.

Fuck the Seattle Times. They had months to discuss this issue but come out
with an article, Brewer, and an editorial the first week of fall camp? Self-serving
"journalism" at it's finest.

This issue wasn't relevant at all until Sark decided to make it relevant by letting it linger.

Cliff notes version for people who hate reading:

All of the kids know who ASJ/Kasen are and try to emulate everything they do. They should be setting a better example for all of the kids. ASJ/Kasen made a mistake that many have made at that age, but it is a big deal because the kids like their jersey numbers. We should draw a purple and gold line in the sand. The problem is that he's not telling to Fuck Off. If he was telling them to Fuck Off, he would tell the media the decision's been made and that's it. Instead, he's being cute about it just like his fucking playcalling.

In following the links and checking the other stories, WSU follows the same policy as the UW, situations are handled internally. If the Times is so concerned about transparency and the public's right to know maybe they should have included these WSU examples along with ASJ and KW's. Certainly there are plenty of WSU grads living in the Greater Seattle area who may want to know.

Or is it something else with the Times?

An HH intern should do some research and find out what legal issues Times employees have had. It's public info.
