Seahawks thoughts

Entertaining second half, fun season overall. Malik Turner's drop was a killer.

A reason they didn't go further was Pete Carroll's decision to hire Ivan Lewis. Horrible.

The injuries were devastating. Chris Carson stays healthy, who knows how far they might have advanced.

Russell Wilson is the man.

Looking forward to 2020. Pete might want to review this bend-don't-break defense he runs.

The injuries didn’t cause 3 points in the first half, that script has long been written. Can’t play scared Pete ball in the playoffs

How dumb is Carroll to continually play the offense conservative for entire halves with a HOF QB under center? Wilson should be playing Tarkenton ball for all 4 quarters.

They gotta get some new DB’s. Everything else is pretty good. Agree that Carson was a huge loss. I love Lynch, but Homer should have played more except in short yardage situations.

I mostly agree but often in the playoffs, running the ball is important. Need a defense tho. Tennessee is doing well with that formula. When the weather gets cold and the defenses are all good, it’s hard to throw.

They should have let Russ do his thing all game tho. It’s the playoffs. Let him run.

We gave up way too many third downs. Adams was wide open on a few of them and is way too good to be left that open. It’s one of the times I wished the Seahawks would move Griffin to always cover the opponent’s best WR.

Lack of talent on defense for sure. Flowers is a 4th corner, Wright is basically done.

No chance I’d give Clowney the 5 years $110 million that someone will, he has a lack of consistency that will not be solved with guaranteed money.

The dilemma is who is at fault for the 1h performances on offense, is it Carrol or is it Russ? Probably some of both but with the right mindset this team could score 30 every week.

They certainly played a role. No Carson or Penny, no Britt, no Iupati, no Dissly, and a limping Brown who wouldn't have played if it wasn't the playoffs. This team was in shambles by year-end. I don't know how you can look at Ivan Lewis's track record and not think that he played a major role.

No doubt Ivan was a big problem for this team.

They could have run on GB with Carson (or Penny), Britt and Iupati. They couldn't do anything on the ground with the bunch they sent out there.

Hiring Ivan could ultimately be the thing that closes this franchise's window. He needs to be fired yesterday.

I doubt he will.
