I wanted that to be real. Really I did.

Sure, Snopes' analysis and explanations can be pretty biased. Their binary "true or false" aspect is pretty straightforward though. Unless you can prove it otherwise, this is false. Not being a Disciple of Comrade Saul's, I find these very interesting, especially the first.

Your version of Comrade Saul is obviously just another Internet fraud:
In a socialist state, there would be minimal if any poverty, debt, or welfare. Those social evils are dominate only in capitalist republics. Without the social and religious distinctions and separations always inherent in anti-socialist (capitalist) republics, there would be no class warfare and far less need or desire for guns.
Public education in capitalist republics such as the USA is already controlled in most red states by radical conservatives outlawing the liberal study of Civics and Government and by Christian fundamentalists outlawing the study of any science that's contrary to voodoo Creationism. The American classroom is already a battleground of ideologies warping young minds into numbness and needs to be liberated.
Socialized healthcare would be a single-payer system where the government would be the only surety, thus eliminating the inefficiency and sometimes corruption of employer provided and private insurance casino. The century plus long rip-off of working and lower middle class families would end to be replaced by a government surety that wouldn't be perfect, but at least it would belong to The People.
We don't want a completely socialized country such as Sweden or even highly successful Germany, but we also should never want a return to the abyss of 19th century industrialized filth and darkness where radical conservative and libertarian zealots are trying to take us. Instead of going back, we need to progressively push forward. I have hope in our young, the millennial generation, who I believe won't listen to the radical cries from the right wing to return to a yesteryear that hold no promise of any kind for the working middle class. The rest of you can get stretched.
