I remember my dad talking about this .... How the winning coaches will sleep in their office ... Do whatever the fuck it takes. He was referencing Joe Gibbs ... But my dad respected James like no other ... All this and he went to a hockey school in Michigan... Ferris State ..

Well, we all love the Dawg Father, but the truth is he'd probably shy away from the Rome Show because he was such a toad with the media.

Almost every great coach hates talking to the media.

While Sark that's his strong suite is talking to the media. He loves talking about himself and being a politician.

Great coaches don't have to sell themselves, their body of work does it for them.
 
What was that show on Sunday evenings where Don James would sit down with some local Lobcock and go through each play? It was gold. If I couldn't catch the game I always caught that. (Yes showing my age)
