Rob Reiner and his wife found stabbed to death in their home

Sounds like a tragic story. Didn’t watch the video, but a couple of sources say it could have been by their son.
 
I read about his son Nick some years ago after I watched a movie he wrote (I think he wrote it but its been awhile). Rob Reiner directed the movie. I really like Reiner's work but he was a person full of just dark hearted hatred for anyone who didn't believe in his politics and that made it hard to enjoy his stuff. Very tragic end to their lives. Just weird and twisted shit.
The movie was kind of based on the kids life but in reality his son Nick was in and out of rehab facilities from a very young age. The family drew a hard line finally and told him either he stayed in rehab or he was not welcome at home, so the kid would leave rehab and live on the streets, homeless. If I remember correctly, Nick had been in rehab about 15 times since like 14 years old and he was like 22 years old at the time. If he was indeed the murderer, well, it doesn't get any more fucked up than that does it? Again, just tragic.
I am not shitting on the parents here because I know good parents who just had a bad seed, but raising children in Los Angeles, especially far left liberal hollywood with all the weirdness in that lifestyle, is very difficult. There are far too many examples over the last 125 years to deny those difficulties.
