Retired Jerseys

I think i'ts time UW retires some jerseys. Brandon Roy definitely deserves it. Someone could probably make arguments for Nate Robinson and Jon Brockman. If I remember right, the only two guys who have their jersey retired at hec Ed is Detlef and Houbregs.

I feel like an idiot, not only did I know that, I was at the game where he got his jersey retired. I still have the BRoy t-shirt they handed out at the game.

Houbregs and Roy have had their jerseys retired.

Retiring #40 for someone not named Welp is FS.

Honoring any player, in any sport, with a retired jersey while McElhenny's is not yet retired, would be absolutely ridiculous.

Welp should definitely have his jersey retired. UW did a dishonor by not doing it will he was alive, now they should out of respect for him and his family.

Can anyone make a case for Detlef, Isaiah Thomas, Brockman, or Nate Rob? Maybe Romar after he retires......he definitely deserves it.

LEAVE!!!11!!!

Did you really just put Isaiah Thomas in with Detlef?!?

Christ.

FS post. You don't have a problem with Brockman or Nate listed with Det, but you do with Isaiah? Isaiah is the 2nd best player of the Romar era and is one of the best players in the history of the program.

Isaiah won two PAC 12 tourney's, a conference title his freshman year, 4 NCAA tournament wins, two time All PAC 12 player, PAC 12 tournament MVP. He averaged over 15 a game all three seasons he played.

I personally wouldn't retire any of the guys I listed except for Detlef. However, I do think Isaiah does deserve some strong consideration. Like RoadDog mentioned, he had a very good career at UW, and I agree, the second best player of the Romar era.

The other player to consider would be Todd MacCulloch.
