Can we all agree to stop using shared excel files? Send fresh copies over email when something changes. People update shit in them and don’t tell anyone and just expect you to keep refreshing shit until something changes.

We use active links on MS Teams for shared Excel files via Outlook and Office, so all updates are live within the server and updated instantly. Use it for pricing, production offers, sales orders, etc and it ties into SAP as well.
Just click the link and it’s the latest version of the document.

Maybe it’s just the finance people that hate this shit. The people that have to be able to explain shit. Fuck the rest of you.

Collaborating on spreadsheets is of the devil.

Stay the fuck out of my forumlas, bitches.

Send reports in PDF so we don't have to play Columbo sifting back through versions. You PDF it, you own it at that moment.

I always keep my own copy and share out a duplicate for people to access. Also, most of the time I change permissions to view only so people can comment but not change stuff.

Yeah, we have the full teams ecosystem and yet, most people email each other copies.
About the only exception is shared schedules for project work where someone owns the document that everyone has access to edit. I don't wanna be that guy.
