Preemptive Look at the 2017 JCCPCCIR

Jeff Lindquist
Deontae Cooper
Darrell Daniels
Jake Eldrenkamp
Shane Brostek
Damion Turpin
Joe Mathis
Psalm Wooching
Kevin King
Brandon Beaver
Cameron Van Winkle

...and that's it.

Might be worse rankings than the 2016 JCCPCCIR

Daniels and King are the only two that even have a prayer at a 4. Maaaaybe Mathis, but he hasn't even shown any flashes of potentially being a 4 at this point.

There might be an early departure or two on defense that would be 5s. And there are a couple candidates for the 2017 Hudson/Tupou senior revival season among your list.

Basically, its awfully warm out for January 2017.

4 guys have a chance to be a 4: Daniels, Eldrenkamp, Mathis and King.

I don't think it's likely to happen with Mathis, but it's not like there isn't precedent of an invisible DL taking a step forward his final year.

Daniels seems somewhat likely, given that every time he touches the ball he does something good (I can't understand why he didn't get more touches last year); but history says he sucks.

Eldrenkamp was easily our best OL last year and I think this next year he will take a step forward with better coordination around him. He was quietly approaching good last year.

LAN is pretty fucking close to a 4 right now. He was one of the best players on the D last year and I could easily see him having a big year with his first off-season where he can lift weights. If he can get up to 200 pounds, he really could be a devastating nickel player. Athletically he's a freak.

Everyone else is awful.

No way Psalm is a 3 if King is a 3.

Only Roadie and I called King as a playmaker to watch if moved to CB, so I'm giving him a 4 as is.
