Live look at Jedd Fisch against a bad opponent at home

chi-chi-sword.gif

Playing at home against cupcakes the Washington Huskies score 50 points a game and Demond Williams looks like the Heisman winner once he gets his well documented fumbling problem out of the way. The awfully young team who needs more time looks talented and highly recruited. However we have seen this movie before.
Let's see how Jedd handles his audition in Tinsel Town next Saturday night at the Terry Donahue Center at the Rose Bowl. UCLA will be going with the dreaded back up quarterback or the starter will return tanned rested and ready to win a meaningless game because UW already choked out the season in Ann Arbor and Madison
UCLA is coming off of a crisp loss to Ohio State that lacked the kind of moral victory that UW had
My Sooners continued their life long domination of the Alabama Crimson Tide as the DeBoer lads were unable to pull it out in the end. As predicted the second loss will have the Tide hosting an opening round game. Grubb was stymied by Venables and the rookie 4th year QB for Bama was rattled. Turnovers led to win for the Legendary Speedsters From Oklahoma
Texas got curb stomped by Kirby and Georgia once again. I don's see any reason to want to be in any conference championship game. The new reality. Texas is out.
Texas A&M climbed out of a 30-3 hole and Shane Beamer was removed as the Cock coach shortly thereafter. Michigan won ugly as usual
The talented Trojans spotted Iowa a 14 point lead before the Hawkeyes remembered that they never win in Los Angeles. Or Pasadena
USC v Oregon next Saturday for the Pac 4 title.
A bunch of two loss teams will end up in the playoffs and we'll be watching and rooting for someone to rep the North!

I have some concerns re: DeBoer making the play offs in year 2. Auburn hosts the iron bowl and is no pushover with all of their losses being pretty close. 9-3 with no play off birth = tick, tick, tick in Tuscaloosa.

UW home field prowess could still make for an interesting game with UO.

He should be fired if they lose to Auburn but they won't
Yesterday sets Oklahoma up as the 5th SEC team in the playoffs which means Oregon better win out or the B1G gets two and war breaks out

Probably not but it’s hardly a gimme.

Ohio State hasn't beaten a single team that's currently ranked by the AP. Indiana has beaten one (Oregon). Oregon has beaten none.
The B1G definitely is not getting more than 2 teams if the Ducks lose to USC or a greased up Fisch at home on Montlake.
Oklahoma is definitely in now. I still think Texas could get in if they beat a top-3 ranked TA&M in a couple of weeks. 2-loss Oregon with no big wins or a 3-loss Texas who has beaten Oklahoma and TA&M? Seems like Texas gets the nod there.

flawed argument especially when you over rank SEC teams to start the season

O, gentle folk, attend this tale of gridiron strife,
Where Huskies romp 'gainst feeble foes at home,
And score full fifty points in merry life,
Whilst Demond Williams, like a Heisman gnome,
Doth shine—once banish'd be his fumbling curse,
Well chronicled in scrolls of woe and mirth.

A youthful band, yet green as springtime verse,
Doth boast high recruits of noble birth.
But lo, this play we've witness'd oft before,
A fleeting dream that fades upon the shore. Now mark how Jedd doth strut in Tinsel Town,
Next Saturn's eve, at Terry Donahue's grand fane,
The Rose Bowl's center, where the laurels crown.

UCLA, with dread backup in the train,
Or starter tanned, refreshed, and primed to claim
A hollow triumph—UW hath choked the flame
In Ann Arbor's chill and Madison's disdain. The Bruins reel from crisp defeat by Ohio's might,
Devoid of moral vict'ry's soothing light,
Unlike the Huskies' grace in losing fight. My Sooners, ever lords o'er Alabama's Tide,
Did dominate as lifelong fates decree;
DeBoer's lads falter'd at the end, denied,
As I foretold—the second loss shall be
Their lot to host an opening playoff fray.

Grubb thwarted by Venables' cunning art,
The rookie fourth-year quarterback, dismay'd,
Did rattle 'neath the turnovers' cruel dart.
Thus Speedsters Legendary from Oklahoma's plain
Did seize the day with joyous, thund'rous gain.
Texas, by Kirby and Georgia curb-stomp'd once more,
Lies trampled in the dust—O woeful sight!
No cause to crave a conference crown in store;
The new reality dims their former light.
Texas is out, banished from glory's door.Texas A&M, from thirty-three to three downcast,
Did climb the pit, and Shane, the Cock's bold guide,
Was swiftly sever'd from his post at last.

Michigan won, as ugly custom bade. The Trojans, talent-rich, did spot Iowa's kin
A fourteen-point head start in generous mood,
Ere Hawkeyes recollected, with a grin,
They ne'er prevail in Los Angeles' brood—
Or Pasadena's verdant, sun-kiss'd field.Next Saturn's eve, USC 'gainst Oregon contends
For Pac-Four's title, in a clash that rends

The western skies with valor's fierce amends.A host of two-loss bands shall grace the playoff stage,
And we shall watch, with fervent northern cheer,
To root for one who reps our clime's bold rage!

one, clicked this thread expecting some fatters posts about snacks, was not disappoint.
two, boner is really feeling the heat at alabama, hear sexton is already talking to pedo.

Whole thing is great, but Shane being the Cock’s bold guide made me laugh. I forgot about Shane Beamer and was thinking of the infamous Shane from Pup’s insults to more_cock and Freeme.

I was called idiotic on the boards for suggesting the B1G might only get 2 teams. But that was when WASHINGTON was the team left out at 10-2. Now, USC has no chance. Hmm.
PS i am idiotic, but not for this

Oklahoma looks good and Mateer is mostly or fully healthy now. Definitely a team to watch.
Is USC better than UW? I don't know but me thinks UW is definitely better than UCLA. Just get healthy, beat the Ruins (hardy har har), and then gear up for the last home game of the season against Phil Knight's playthings.
What has me feeling more positive is that we saw much more creativity in the offensive play-calling and also DeGraaf was the leading receiver. The play calling and no utilizing DeGraaf were both glaring issues @ Wisconsin so @AmberFisch must read our boreds.
Punting was better too, thank the gods.

TA&M looks like the team of destiny, that comeback was all-time.

Yes, yes. I can hear the narrative now come Selection Sunday on why 'Bama ends up ranked so high as a 2 loss team: "Sure Alabama has 2 losses, but one of which was a quality home loss to a GOOD Oklahoma team by only 2 points. We're gonna give them the benefit of the doubt this time."

They gotta avoid Ohio State. They will get smoked by them.

It’s a weird season because nobody really seems great besides Ohio State.
Meh. I doubt they'd get smoked, especially on a neutral field.

My hunch is tOSU would have trouble with TA&M's QB and offense. And as @BleachedAnusDawg pointed out, Bucknuts haven't beaten a single team that's currently ranked by the AP either.

I don’t think anyone could score 21 on them. Ohio State hasn’t played anyone great, but they blow out everyone.

They aren’t great running the ball, but they don’t even air it out like they could with Sayin, Smith, and Tate. They deserve to be #1 and I don’t think these other teams are that close. If they get beat, it will be a massive upset.
