In all seriousness, The Throbber is joking around for the most part when it comes to the Pope's passing. Many people held Francis up as their religious leader and their mourning should be honored.
On the other hand, there's a decent number of Catholics who held Francis in contempt. This morning on Squawk Box, Joe Kernen was almost in tears as he expressed his faith and relative disgust with the Jesuits. He was hopeful the next Pope would be a non-Jesuit.
In the meantime, the memes are plentiful.
