I follow the NFL draft somewhat closely and Penix is at best a 3rd Rd. Pick this year and that’s if a team falls in love and reaches. Everything I’ve read is more concerned with his ability to run the LOS in the NFL, get through progressions, etc. Not saying he’ll be back, don’t twist, but he’s not a hot commodity at the next level. The only credit they give him is a plus arm.
 
Penix will easily move up if he goes through the process as scouts see his arm strength in person vs the other top prospects

He said half the league views CJ Stroud as a 2nd rd pick. I view Stroud as 3rd rounder at best. I guess it depends how you view both those guys.

I’ve seen reports where he’s not even top-100. Guy has mechanics problems. Don’t twist. The scouting reports say he may be a solid starter someday. He’s not gonna go in and light the world on fire. Dude will make a nice living.

I’ve seen Nix as a first rounder because he’s an elite athlete. The NFL kinda likes those guys.
