Some Dutch kid on our? crew just set the world record for a 6,000 meter piece. 18:13 which means he was pulling about 1:31 splits or the equivalent of a 6:04 meter 2K but over 6K distance. For perspective my PR on a 2k was 6:06 which was pretty fucking good for back in the 90's. I think Callahan must be giving the guys some extra speshial Husky vitamins. @whlinder @BearsWiin @creepycoug @BennyBeaver @Edwin_Bambino you all will appreciate this.

That's what I'm saying. My personal best for 2K back in the day (6:06) was damn near what you'd need to be in the Olympics (usually sub 6:00 for 2K). This freak just pulled as hard as I could for 6 mins over 18 mins of pain. Just fucking nuts!

I was always better at 2K than 6K. Much easier mentally to suffer for 6 mins than 19 or 20.

Never done a 6k, haven't done anything shorter than a 10k since college. This lightweight is built for the endurance stuff, not enough mass or leverage for the fast sprinting
