What is blogspam?
Blog spam is repeated submission of low quality content (basic game previews, recaps, fluff pieces, rumors, etc.) from a single source.
Some examples of blogspam that have been occuring include:
- Sports with teeth podcasts
- Husky Fan Podcasts
- Repeated links to Hardcore Husky

Good. It should be embarrassing to have anything from here linked to that sub. It's the Cal of UW program information and discussion.

No kidding. Just let the people upvote what they like and downvote what they don't. @DerekJohnson‌'s article got 8 upvotes until the mod's power got to his head and he poofed it.

Listen, he gave you a perfectly good rationale. It's not news. That subreddit is only for news like media day photo booth shots and fan-made hype videos.

I had heard of Reddit but didn't really know what it is.

Thanks for the head's up though.

The voting system at Reddit is designed to promote popular content. Posts that get upvotes get moved to the top, and no votes/downvotes get moved to the bottom. It works well, and some subreddits handle thousands of submissions every day. The whole point of it is to let the people decide what they want to see.

To over-moderate content is defeating the purpose. Linking to a blog or podcast, even to self-promote, is not going to hurt the quality of the subreddit. If anything, it will help it because people will use the sub to find articles from different sources, and the most popular content will be highly visible because it will get voted to the top.

As Sven said, the BeesSteeze deserves 0-13.

Thats not the MikeDamone i know and somewhat respect .... [–]MikeDamone 5 points 5 hours ago
You're right, he gets way more hate than he should. He revived our program and we're in a lot better shape than we were before he got here (that's one hell of an understatement). The way he left is why he's getting as much hate as he did, some fans are just bitter about it. I like Sark, and while I think we certainly ended up getting the better deal out of that coaching carousel, he still deserves praise for what he accomplished
