"I think the real question is why WOULDN'T the 19XX Oregon State High School Tennis Doubles Champion NOT want to join the BEST members-only website on the Inter(webs)net. Yes, I won it. Look it up, you can find it online. OSAA.org or something to that effect. I was there, Beaverton, OR THPRD facility outdoor courts, we whooped the (Redacted) guys (Redacted & Redacted)... Eugene guys? Enough said! I'm a Dawg for life, enjoy the site, been lurking for-evuh... so figured I'd go ahead and submit my application to the Committee and see if they'll have me. Fingurz crossed."

You have a point. I used to play some in HS. I played baseball but friends played tennis and I'd go to the courts for night doubles matches with them. It's fun.

But the point is that there would be old, barely mobile men out there playing doubles. It was a different game but it was pretty enviable. They'd have long rallies where they hit it really hard but mostly right at each other. Eventually the net man would get one and either put it away or into the net and they'd start over. Not a bad game for an old fella. Less strenuous than golf.

But anyways, new guy, you're tennis heroics buy you nothing around here. Fuck off with that shit, get a Wam sub, and make with the nudes.

About 15 years ago, I coached a select ball team. One of the kids came to a workout, and told everybody he had been accepted into a prestigious music school in Nashville, as a trombonist. The kids started calling him "Rusty", and I had to google "Rusty Trombone"...yep, I did. By the middle of our season, even his parents were calling him Rusty, making it incredibly difficult to keep a straight face while he was pitching, and hearing parents cheering for him...csb
