First the Garfield coach, now Beach. Seems like there’s some animosity building as the program has gotten to the point where they can be picky with who they want. Obviously Pete’s not going to lose sleep over passing on an FCS kid, and these high school coaches are fucking stupid for putting this shit out on Twitter, but I hope it doesn’t cost us a Sa’vell Smalls type player in the future.

I love local kids as much as anyone, but this twat is bullshit. Where are all these butt hurt fuckhead coaches when their kids head out to Furd and ND and USC? Fuck them. If your kids are the best, Pete wants them. This shit is stoopid.

Sorry coaches, but if your recruit isn't good enough to get an offer from WSU, then they sure as hell aren't getting an offer from UW.

What can Petersen do?

He's already doing his job making the program better.

The bar is constantly rising and that unfortunately "weeds" out good kids locally for higher end kids out of state.

It is what it is.

It would be a problem if Washington was taking lower rated kids from out of state rather than in state. They don't.

In fact, the coaches and schools have to up their game and develop the talent to reflect Washington's forward trajectory if they want to be offered schollies.
 
I will add that this whole "Pete doesn't fuck with the local kids" is stupid. UW has about 25 Washington kids on the roster. We could have an all Washington backfield at this time next year, with Hunter Bryant and Cade Otton out there at TE. Fucking stupid. Beach is just triggered that Pete didn't take their FCS players.

The idea of Pete not wanting local kids is like Tequilla saying that Lake was hurting the program. Fucking stupid.
 
The head of the RISE program liked the tweet as well. You know who didn’t like it? Tracy Ford, because he produces real talent and that talent gets noticed by UW. FSP>>>>>>>>>Rise.

Unfortunately Smalls is HEIR and Thomas is his coach. He also said on Instagram that Furd is his dream school.

If coaches getting triggered because we? didn't offer their FCS players costs Smalls, that's just Tequilla FS
