So every conference has a buyout but P12?

USC and UCLA didn’t have to pay anything….. so that is just a free-for-all, and everybody can go and leave and not payout?

F. Even the mountain west has a $34 million buyout
 
Big 12 smartly renegotiated their tv deal before it ran out. Pac 12 waited far too long and until there was nothing to buy out.

To open it up AFTER SC and UCLA bounced was maybe the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Right there with how they couldn't seen the writing on the wall with where that was headed when Texas and Oklahoma had just shown them the script what 2 years before?
 
Regarding USC and UCLA, they didn’t have a buyout because either they gave enough advance notice or because they left before the next TV deal which obviously never happened.
 
I guess I wasn’t seeing the buyouts from the TV perspective but from just leaving the conference. Now I get it
