Interesting that Peterman wouldn't even take Woody's call after Owen 12 ... We must have no idea how bad this job was. Nobody wanted it, we should be praising Allah Sark was drunk when the offer letter came over.

House money ... Simple fact ... Sark took literally the strategy of get to a bowl game every year. He wasn't going to put in any more effort than he had to. He realized when he "barely lost" to LSU that the expectations were so low why should he really work it and earn his check. Besides ... Joey's was calling. After 44 shots of Patron he thought, shit I better have one more to salute the best job I've ever had!

Subconsciously, Sark had to be thinking along those lines. The stories of boosters coming up and shaking his hand and praising him after a single digit loss at home are pathetic.
