Wilcox, Andrews, Jarreau, Blackwell, NWG.

Hopefully Jarreau can turn it on and be the beast we all hoped he would be. Romar today compared Wilcox to Brandon Roy, not exactly faint praise. Lots of wildcards like Johnson and Taylor. This is the first time in a long time I have no idea if we will be worth our salt our not. I hope NWG will have a Isaiah-like impact.
 
I thought Kemp might start instead of JJ but it makes sense for him to come off the bench for Blackwell.

I don't understand the Brandon Roy comparison unless CJ's game has evolved a lot and the foot injury was really hindering him last year. He also said Johnson was like Roy the day they signed him , Romar likes to throw out Brandon's name a lot.

Yea this team could make the tourney or they could win 10 games this year, pretty up in the air. I am excited to see what NWG will do given he had performed well at the highest levels in HS unlike Gaddy.

Looks like another year where I won't be watching Husky basketball.
 
wilcox is a one dimensional player. He is not Broy.
The backcourt looks to be one of the best in the conference, while the froncourt has a lot of question marks, pretty much been the story of romar's time here at UW
 
Sorry but how the fuck is Wilcox like Brandon Roy? At all? Wilcox is a spot up shooter who can't create his own shot, needs others to get him open and can't slash. BRoy wasn't a great 3 point shooter but was smooth as hell, could get to the basket at will, was strong, could finish at the hoop, great mid-range game, created his own shot. Just doesn't make any fucking sense. They're around the same height, I guess? Then that makes me Russell Wilson.

I check in early in the season and can tell pretty quickly if they are worth watching. Unlike with Husky Football, I can't watch shitty basketball. I get too bored.

 
Brandon Roy and CJ Wilcox both battled injuries off and on throughout their four years of eligibility at Washington while playing the wing.

That's as far as I can take the comp.

He stole a teammates money from their room. Then was confronted on the issue. A lot of the teammates wanted to kick his ass. So he fled to CWU.

I actually like Husky basketball but I'm with you. I can't watch it if they are shitty. During the last years of Bender I maybe watched 5 games total.

Last year I stopped watching until the Pac-12 tournament. It was just too bad to watch.

Fuck I forgot who the teammate was. I remember it was a senior. It was Aziz or Suggs.

I just heard it through the grapevine so it wasn't reported.
