Shurod Thompson the highest rated member or Oregon State's 2016 recruiting class will not join the Beaver's. Rumors point to academics as the reason.

"Due to unfortunate circumstances I will not be attending Oregon State University," he wrote. "I appreciate Coach Andersen and the coaching staff for believing in me and given [sic] me the opportunity to play at the next level. As we all know GOD has a plan and this is one of them."
