The BYU game may have been better. Lot of anger in the stands over 84 and a bad loss at BYU in 85. The stands were going crazy then BYU returns the opening kick for a TD
And then got curb stomped by our DAWGS
The mid 80's were tuff on us fans. We got boat raced by ASU and were a middling Pac 10 team that year and ended it getting stomped by Bama in the Sun Bowl
Its like 94 when we? beat Miami and Ohio State and went 7-4

People forget that the Pac 10 in the 80's was the SEC today
No Natty's though unless you count 1984 for UW. We did win it on the field (hi @oregonblitzkrieg ), just not with the voters.
UCLA 1988 for one example - Troy Aikman and a great team who won a tuff one at Husky Stadium to stay unbeaten but then lost to WSU at home. And it was no fluke. That was a GOOD WSU team. The Pac 10 was a gauntlet and unlike the SEC you had to play almost everyone every year
Winning the league and the Rose Bowl meant more than mythical titles
The Pac 10 really fucked up when we gave away the Rose Bowl and let the other conferences partake. That was our ace in the hole that we had over the SEC, ACC, BIG 12.
