The first time in the history our fabled DAWGS will play a football game inside the Capital Beltway.

*I did zero research to confirm this is true but given we only played Maryland in the Aloha Bowel, I'm assuming we've never played like Howard on the road, or Georgetown/American/Galludet.
 
Fun Fact: Maryland is the only former slave state in the Big 10.
Is this some kind of reward for staying loyal the Union?

History majors forget New Jersey didn’t abolish slavery until the ratification of the 13th Amendment in 1866
 
If fish loses this game I'm reporting him to ice and he can get deported back to Florida

they started the process in 1804 of emancipation. Due to a technicality and life spans there were still like 16 slaves in NJ in Jan 1866. That’s a lot different than Maryland in 1861 when the rebellion started.
 
Lefty Driesell and Ralph Friedgen aren't roaming those Maryland sidelines anytime soon.
