I get the sense Peterson doesn't give two shits about the uniforms, based on the Boze concoctions during his time there, but if we can at least become a championship-caliber football team while we're wearing shit ... I'd take that and call it good.

Can't disagree with you here. When you win championships, you can wear whatever combo of uniform pieces you want. When you're fucking mediocre, changing up uniforms on a weekly basis is akin to putting lipstick on a pig.

Anyway, I didn't mean to threadjack DJ. Can't wait until kickoff of this irrelevant yawner bowl. Of course, I want the Huskies to win, but I'm not at all excited for this game.

I actually don't mind the black unis with the gold lids....a few times a year. The black helmets are fucktarded however.

 
I liked the IDEA of the black uniforms (not for every game), BUT thought they could have been a BIT more futuristic/innovative/WOWfactor/fabulous. If WE are going with An alternate (for special occasions only), why not go FULL fucking retard? I'm talkin REAL husky fur on the shoulders, CRAZY number fonts that look FIERCE, growling TEETH on the face mask, husky paws on THE gloves (the logo shit IS overdone), and little tails COMING out of the pants. THAT would be SICK!!

When UW starts being competitive, and relevant again, on a regular basis... I'll be more inclined to worry about tradition. Right now they could prance about in purple polka-dot tanktops and pink tutus and I wouldn't give a fuck as long as they win some fucking games....
