487 pieces at 2 pieces per kid = 244 trick or treaters
Bidness was down a bit from historical average of 300 to 400 due cold temps and moderate rain.
But the pours of Bend still flooded our neighborhood to get the primo Halloween experience.

They don't come by the compound.
It was totally pissing rain, but still a fairly strong turnout. Probably only 2/3 the amount of cars from outside the neighborhood due to the weather. We had a 370 piece bag from Walmart and got rid of almost all of it.
Edit: we give out 3 pieces per kid. Low-100's turnout.

340 pieces at 2 pieces per kid we gave out all of it plus stole some from my daughters haul to replenish our bowl. We had about 175 ish.
We had friends over as well, so I'm sure some of the candy went to the adults in the house.
A little lighter this year than usual in CDA. The neighborhood next to ours is an absolute ZOO. You can't even drive through there. I'd guess each house is getting 400-500 kids. Insanity.

That's a solid number. Funny how much some neighborhoods get hammered on others are so quiet.
Ours is like a perfect storm of high density, single family, with lots of affluent homeowners who go all out on decorations and candy.

you are perfectly describing the neighborhood next to ours. It was also the first one of those types of subdivisions built in this particular area - so the reputation had been developed for being "the place to go," which in turn results in more homeowners participating in the festivities and decorating. Over 20 years it's just turned into the ritual.
I also have kept my Husky Flag out all season and was still shit talking the Duck kids and parents.

I sent him off with four of his friends. Me and some other dads walked the neighborhoods and bullshit with our friends.
We handed out guns and religion at our compound.
My hood isn’t for sermon seekers typically.
Although one middle school kid was a Fat Jesus.

It was a good night's work. We had to call it a night after about 20 houses because the kids were soaked. They had more fun handing it out to kids dropping by our place.
