Obama Apologizes for Dropping Nukes on Japan

I don't even shake my head anymore. Has Japan ever apologized for the HORRIFIC things they systematically did to Allied POWs?

It's so nice having a president who hates the country he leads.

If my great uncle were still alive, I could have called him up and asked him if the Japs ever apologized for Bataan. Maybe they threw a pizza party and ice cream social before the war ended. Who knows?

There isn't a nation/group of people on this planet that hasn't done something fucked up to somebody (granted, some more than others), especially in times of war. I'm not saying that any of those things were OK, but wouldn't it be better to make speeches/policies that are more geared towards making sure shit doesn't happen again instead of everybody making these hollow apologies?

Commemorating the only time nukes were used on people--civilians, even--before the last of those people are dead seems like a reasonable thing to do.

Fire bombs killed more civilians

Japan killed lots of civilians in China

Dead is dead

The left loves to play the moral equivalency card with regards to Iraq or Palestine, and it's largely bullshit; turning it around when it suits "us" is just as stupid.
