Leach has a great system, but it kind of screws his quarterback's pro aspirations. Leach's system hasn't yet been accepted in the NFL, except for maybe New England, and even they don't really do the same thing.
A QB can only play well in that system for 2 years max. People need to realize that the QB runs the show and calls the plays 90% of the time. Leach only calls the formations. And from there it’s up to the QB.
The yuge difference between this year and the 3 prior. Is that the QB doesn’t take many hits and even fewer sacks. That also keeps the offense ahead of the sticks, giving more options for the next play, be it run or pass.
Each week, they make one more play than the other team. It’s hard to sustain that shit week in and week out. But so far so good.
