These athletic departments are gonna do a quarter of a billion dollars in revenue. And this Big 10 football deal is gonna be worth more than the NBAs contract was worth at the turn of the century. There's still all this money sloshing around college athletic departments. And the athletes aren't getting any of it[/b]. It's like Sports Illustrated saying “We're we're not going to pay you to write stories but you can go get a book deal and we're not going to stop you.” So it's great for these athletes now have a way to make some revenue. It's great for these athletes now to be able to go into the marketplace so that their parents no longer have to worry about paying bus fare to go see them play. But all of this still doesn't address the issue that the business is generating more money than ever. These television contracts are more lucrative than ever. I mean, the Big 10 now sweeps from Southern California to New Jersey and has never been in a better position financially, and the labor still comes free. Yeah, we’re sort of taking our eye off the ball. These athletes aren’t making a salary from the revenue they generate. They have the right to get into these third parties. Great. That's a start. But the market is still deeply distorted.
the business is putting that money back into the product. Hookers ad Blow Centers don't build themselves. College tuition isn't free. Year round training at top facilities
Go ahead and kill it. Get 20 bucks a day for meal money as you ride a high school bus to a rock strewn field to play in front of 10s of people while the NFL takes all the money

Sports Illustrated would be first off the press (what's a press?) to complain that universities are cutting out women's sports to make up for revenue loss
