Toyota’s SUVs have plenty of style and look cool. Those other brands are for fags.Walked through Car d’ Alene last Saturday. OMG. We used to be a serious nationI miss America damn it!

Cars had soul. Cars had style. There was a pecking order of coolness embodied in one’s vehicle.
Now we have endless rows of gray, white and black Toyota/Hyundai/Kia/Nissan SUVs that are indistinguishable from one another. Couldn’t tell you the difference between a 2015 model and a 2025 model of any make these days

I'm probably the only poster here who has tried to keep the cool, American car legacy going. You could be driving a Hellcat Charger with plenty of room for 4 and a large trunk. Hell, even a Durango SRT or a Escalade V would get a cool vote from me - the Escalade V screaming around Downtown DC a few week ago was a riot!I miss America damn it!

I wouldn't touch a Chrysler product with 10 foot pole. Garbage.I'm probably the only poster here who has tried to keep the cool, American car legacy going. Instead, we're talking about fucking Toyotas.
The primary issue with the new drivetrains, IMO, is that they're all moving to turbo-4 cylinders in large, heavy SUV's. Not a great recipe for longevity when that turbo is constantly having to spool to get the rig moving, but they do have impressive looking specs that will sell people on buying them. FYI, the Lexus GX is the rig to get with its twin turbo 6-cylinder (and happens to be better looking, too).Did I say Highlander @PurpleThrobber? I said Landcruiser, 4 Runner and Sequoia. They car show cars for the record.
I think they'll get the kinks our of the drive train @BleachedAnusDawg . Not my problem though. I have the 5.7L I Force V-8 which is one of the most reliable engines on the road.
Late 1980 's Suburbans and K-5's are peak American SUVs.Sounds like I need to get my diesel suburban in a car show.
Ours is a 2021, but I figure if Kias can be in a car show, so can the burbLate 1980 's Suburbans and K-5's are peak American SUVs.Sounds like I need to get my diesel suburban in a car show.
The Ford Explorer was the beginning of the end.
