Of all the former UW presidents worthy of hatred and scorn, Wise is not one of them.
Disagree - last good one was Asa Mercer (1861-1863). While it was a short stint, he got a lot done. A young Mercer assisted his brothers in clearing stumps to make way for the new territorial university:
