I think it was spring ‘92 and some natives set up some drums in red square late on a Friday. Cat tail sticks beating relentlessly and a Salish style lamentation. Angry. Like my woman just died angry. Definitely not a stick game happy time song.

Totally fucking unnerving. Heard it through the quad and over to the Hub. I remember thinking at the time I was so glad I did not have a test that day.
