National brand backlash

If you can’t win your conference, why should you get a shot at a Natty? Answering for your fren.

It's happened more than once

Georgia's first over Bama came after losing the SEC championship

Let’s realize that Oregon beating Washington and neither getting into the CFP is so on point for the Pac 12, that the powers that be will probably make that happen.

Not even trolling, what is the argument for a one-loss Pac-12 team getting in over one-loss Alabama, Ohio State, or Texas or undefeated Florida State? The conference didn't really show much out of conference and the best showings were actually from the worst in the conference - Cougs beating Wisconsin and Colorado beating TCU and Nebraska.

Didn’t show much out of conference compared to who?

Pretty sure the Pac had by far the best OOC winning %.

Pac also plays 9 conference games. As always the SEC teams have a bloated OOC records hence more top 25 teams.

This is probably the worst the B1G has been in a while. Those are some very bad teams out there.

This isn’t an argument for, just some notes.

tOSU getting pulled up won’t help UW, as they’ll finish ranked somewhere around 8th anyway.

Root for Georgia. Eliminate Bama

Two time defending champ losing their first game in 3 years gets in over Oregon

Texas probably does although there is still time to Sark it

B1G sucked.

Oregon could get in. Far from a guarantee

Especially since they are losing

Washington should have won the natty in '84 despite not winning the Pac-10

No one really showed much out of conference but Texas winning at Alabama and Ohio State beating Notre Dame are about as good as we got. The third team in the Pac-12 lost to Mississippi State, Oregon really struggled with Texas Tech, and USC got pulverized by Notre Dame. Not really much else to go off of. I find it shocking that this is the first time they would give credit to Pac-12 teams with the same loss count as programs like Ohio State, Alabama, and Texas.

One loss Texas is definitely more qualified than 1 loss Oregon.

If we’re pretending Oregon wins and Georgia beats Bama, why does Texas get in for beating #8 Alabama but not Oregon for beating #3 UW?

Oregon and Michigan will have the two best wins.

Texas lost to #13 OU, Oregon lost to #3 UW.

On a neutral field, Oregon is a 10pt favorite over FSU, a 7pt favorite over either Texas or Michigan and probably 3.5 over Bama.

They’re a 2.5 dog to Georgia.

If they win they’re in.
