Already resorting to academis smack talk this far out? Talk about waving a white flag.

Two things:

1. Yes, I'm waiving the white flag. Not sure why we? should play the game.
2. I learned my craft here and on dawgman from PhD doogs. We? call it coping.

Hoping Cignetti gets assaulted by some Miami thug on his way to the stadium and gets rattled. That's about my only hope after watching Miami revert to the mean against Ole Miss. Looks like MistakeMario Ball is back!

I heard a couple radio jocks this morning saying that Indiana could become the new Miami in the sense that Cignetti is their Schnellenberger who came out of nowhere.

Maybe. They are really good and this is the kind of thing that can propel a program forward. I think at minimum it will be a while before they suck again. In terms of going on a big run of natties, we'll have to wait and see. I think the further back in time you go, the easier it was to be dominant once you became dominant. With coaching and player fluidity today it's harder to corner markets.

I’m curious how Cigarettes program will run with bigger named recruits. Getting the plucky underdogs to buy in to all the dirty stuff required to make every block and fit every run is one thing. Getting a guy to dig in and just run the system who’s been fluffed his whole life is another thing entirely. There was a play against Oregon where a big white DL shot a gap, smashed the RB into the left tackle, on purpose, and allowed the end to sack the QB. A completely selfless act of winning. Kid didn’t even try to make a play himself. Just opened it up for his teammate. Will a DT making a million dollars who wants the NFL do the same? We shall see.

I'm not sure Indiana is going to go the 5 star route. Stick to the portal

They just beat the shit out of 5 star U

If he changes he's not the coach we think he is
He gave an interview where he said he learned a few years ago to be wary of the word "potential" and definitely is a guy who wants to know what's between the ears of the guys he's bringing in.

Moore is a good example. I'm guessing he's more talented than the big Hosier Cuban but they're made out of different stuff. Mendoza made out of superior Tuff Miami Cuban metal and Moore is made out something softer. Mendoza can take huge shots and keep playing. Moore disappears if he's grazed by anyone.
