But this season of Game of Thrones really, really sucks.

They better pay it off big time with the remaining episodes. So far, it's been the worst season. The fact that they are running out of source material has led to slow paced episodes and shitty filler.

Maybe changing the fucking script for half the story lines wasn't such a hot idea?

But it's HBO and he previous stuff was awesome, so LIPO...?

That's the thing. Part of why I liked the first three seasons of GoT was because they actually hewed pretty close to the books (#hipsterfag $75k).

Now it seems like they are racing through plot points (as evidenced by each new episode getting five minutes of "Previously on Game of Thrones" flashbacks.

Also, very very rapey. And I'm an actual duck saying that.

Vikings > GoT

I tried liking Vikings, because viking were quite badass, but whenever I watched that show I felt like it is the same writers a that did Sons of Anarchy, and some the actors may be the same for all I know as well.

I'm just trolling the GoT nerds on this bored.

This season was likely going to be slow regardless of how close they stuck to the books. Books 4 and 5 have plenty of tedious parts.

On some aspects I'm glad they sped up the plot line (we don't need 23 episodes of Daenerys doing nothing in Mereen).

Similarly, they had the right idea to abandon the Jaime-wandering-aimlessly-in-the-Riverlands story, but didn't execute it well. The "Jaime and Bronn Visit Dorne" show plays out like a cheesy buddy cop movie, and the sand snakes are corny, leaving us with a total shit sandwich. The only redeeming factor is that we got to see some tits. BRB, JO

I'm liking the Bolton/Sansa part, and Arya's story is playing out nicely. Cersei's story is pretty true to the books and is working well.

I'm guessing that the last two episodes of the season will be awesome, and we will forget about how the rest of the season has been meh.

And whoever said we need more Khaleesi doggystyle poundins, I agree that it would fix everything.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about Tyrion going all little person on Khaleesi though.....

This season's suckiness is reflective of the weakness of books 4 and 5, I actually think the show's artistic liberties with the material they had to work with is a slight improvement.

To me, the core issue is that the author built up a dynamic world of interesting characters in books 1-3 and now, subconsciously, is incapable of bringing each storyline down to their conclusions; consider his timeline of writing books 1-3 in less than 6 years and then taking 16+ long years to write the next two which most readers deem to be inferior.

Supposedly it's good luck to suck a dwarf's cock.
