Mark Levin on Ukraine

Says you can't sit back when you're a leader. Real leaders lead. What would Reagan have done in this situation (I can tell you if you don't know)? Better to arm Ukraine in a proxy fight to weaken Russia than let them roll over Ukraine and knock on Poland's door, next. Don't want to be a pacifist pulled into a war like has happened in the past. Putin said back in 2010 he was going to take Ukraine back and people said it was just talk. I could go on and on since I listed to a good 45 minutes of his show today.

I don't like the Ukraine shit, but he has salient points on some aspects and he made me think and care. He did not mention anything about why the US might actually be involved right now, eg Biden's involvement, labs, etc. I don't listen to him much so not sure if he hates the "conspiracy" stuff or not.

Didn't feel like posting my shit content in the full-retard PGOS thread.

He was fairly calm, but, yeah, I often tune him out after 5 minutes if he starts ranting and raving. Rattled of several instances where Reagan sent military support to other countries in conflict and that the Ukraine thing is another version of those prior events. FWIW, he is right about what Reagan would have done based on his track record.

I think his point was that (in his opinion), imperfect as Ukraine is, there's a leadership responsibility to support them while also trying to negotiate peace.

Fine support them... hut negotiate the fucking peace so we don't get dragged into war. With the downing of our drone, that just got closer.

In 1980 Reagan was dealing with the Soviet Union 1.0 with 5 million men under arms and a still stated intent to bury us. In hindsight, we accomplished nothing in Afghanistan although it did weaken the Soviets but funded Islamic nutcases. The UK and Germany were carrying their weight in NATO and the French had nukes and an effective military. Today, we are dealing with a minor world economic power with nukes and an ineffective military run by a nutcase that isn't a military threat to Europe. If they are, let western Europe take care of the threat to them. Not one more dime until our borders are secured. That is the real and ongoing threat.

He was taking it pretty far to the 1930's Europe conclusion when I was listening. Invoking Pearl Harbor, etc.

My primary reason for posting this thread is that most of everything I'd ever hear from Levin was pretty conservative, so I found it pretty peculiar that he would be so staunchly in favor of supplying Ukraine with weapons.
