I’m not going on the record as saying that avoiding the employment of younger millennials and Gen Z is an acceptable hiring practice, but if someone told me that was their company policy, I’d understand why.

But you also can't hire gen x.

It's a narrow window lol

That's because we're already the boss.

Technically, I'm a tweener.

Not quite old enough to be a boomer, not quite young enough to wear flannel and listen to grunge.

Get off my Commodore 64.

Nope. Anyone over 45 is now a boomer.

Anyone under 26 is a millennial

Haven't you learned this yet lol

Clearly you don't listen to the media enough

I thought we've entered the age where you can be anything you want? Just announce it and it's real.

Elon just fired some woke SpaceX employees. Apparently, getting operational results is resonating with some employees. Very impressive. If he takes over Twitter, I'd anticipate much better financial results and far less wokedom. Will see if Elon drops his bid price after was I'm sure will be a devastating due diligence report.

Gen X is first true latch key kid generation, where both parents worked, so when after they got home from school, they actually had to figure out how to feed themselves and get their homework done on their own so they could go to baseball practice….on their bike.

The argument could be made that GenX is the most independent and entrepreneurial of all generations, and the data supports this, as more than half of all businesses are GenX startups.

So true. I was lucky enough to have a stay-at-home mom but remember a bunch of kids in the neighborhood who went home from school to an empty home. We usually all ended up playing hoops, shooting bbguns, having dirt clod wars, building dams in the creek or jumps for our bikes, throwing fire crackers at bee's hives or going to the local arcade together anyway. Good times but having a mom at home who made sure I did my homework was a game changer.

Yeah I don’t know about all that. GenX(65-79) was definitely the first of the medicated generations, where big pharma had a profound effect on how families addressed anxiety and depression, but that was really only the back end of that group. If you’re looking to point the finger at a generation that posts videos of themselves crying on social media, I’m not sure it’s today’s 50 year olds. I have a hunch that you mean millennials or gen z.

The youngest Gen Xers were already in the workplace before MySpace and FaceBook were a thing, and they’re in their mid 40s now.

I meant GenZ, but still.
