All morning Brian Windbag and the rest were talking about how Aldridge blasted the Laker meeting for not having analytics and being old and moldy and focused on LA and shit. So the locals pick up and blame Kobe for most everything then everyone else for being stupid and out of touch and needing to get analytics and shit.

Right in the middle news breaks that Aldridge is giving the Lakers the last meeting - a second meeting.

Ooops.

I don't know why anyone cares. Aldridge isn't winning shit in LA

Why is Jimmy Buss the scapegoat? I'm not sure if he even does anything important. Kupcheck makes the decisions on talent.

he also is blamed for not doing more to make phil jackson come back to LA instead of knicks

also nba stats nerds will never let him live down the comments he made about how he felt like scouting wasn't very important

and he's compared to his dad with every move he makes or doesn't make
 
Lakers have sucked since Jerry West left to be honest. They got lucky with the Paul Gasol trade.

Good points. So he's an idiot, fair enough. I just don't get why Jeanie and Kupcheck receive very little backlash, but lil' Jimmy does. And some of it is because of Jeanie's media manipulation, which is obviously a strength of hers.

Hiring D'Antoni was a disaster, but they still weren't winning anything with Phil. They had a broken down Howard and Nash. That team would have been better with Phil, but they would have still gotten stomped by SA, OKC, and probably a couple other teams.

The scouting comments are FS.

The cancelled Chris Paul trade played a huge role in the Lakers being in the position they are now. It led to the disastrous Steve Nash trade, which greatly contributed to D'Antoni being hired. It had a real snowball effect.
