NBA would be smarter to put a team in Mexico City.
Maybe it benefits the nba but I think it will hurt the actual franchise value short term until they ultimately move like Vancouver did. Doubtful they could attract free agents and when the novelty wears off after year 1 or 2 they could struggle with attendance and merchandise sales. Highly doubtful rich nba players would want to live there half the year.
