Kansas football

2010: 3-9 (Turner GIll)
2011: 2-10
2012: 1-11 (Charlie Weis)
2013: 3-9
2014: 3-9
2015: 0-12 (David Beaty)
2016: 2-10
2017: 1-11
2018: 3-9
2019: 3-9 (Les Miles)
2020: 0-9
2021: 2-10 (Lance Leipold)
2022: 6-7 (beat UT at Austin and nearly upset Oklahoma)
2023: 9-4[/b]

Took over hands-down the worst Power 5 football program in the country with an FCS quality roster and shit facilities and had KU turned around by Year 2.

Leipold is 59. This is probably his last job. If he hires 2-3 big-time recruiters instead of taking the DeBoer route of bringing along guys he knows, we can be back to a Top 12 playoff contender by Year 3.

The guy is a helluva coach

I'm sure he is and that's fine, but I'm all for making a monster splash right now and the second coach Pete would be epic

Agreed. More I read about him the more I like. And he could bring their stud QB Daniels with him

Fish is also fine too but higher risk he bounces in 1-2 years

UW & splash hires don't go together.

For sure that's a factor — and it absolutely should be.

Fisch is a Florida alum and the Gators very well may be in the market for a new coach before this time next year — not to mention Fisch may have his eyes set on the NFL

Was hoping for a guy that would stop offensive exodus. Leipold is not it IMO.

Leipold is a long rebuild with no juice for next year.

He gets a QB, that's all it takes. Kansas wasn't a slouch on offense.

Was there a bigger splash hire than Petersen these last 10 years?

Petersen hired himself.

Left to their own devices, Woodward and Jen would have fucked things up.

And when Daniels went down this season, KU plugged in the backup QB — who was basically a (very) poor-man's Isaiah Stanback — and finished 9-4.

Leipold is a damn good coach.

So in year three you can be a 9-4 Kansas? Great aspirations a week after a Natty appearance.

Yeah, a Kansas program that had won 2 games in a decade is an equivalent situation to the University of Washington

The stupidity of most Duck fans really shines and takes center stage in moments like this.
