I looked at this again, and burst out laughing, specifically at the coach in between Murph and the ump. When I worked for him, Murph told me that when he went out to argue, I was to come running in to be the buffer, just as the coach in the video was, and "restrain" him. We even walked through it before the season began…
Well, 65 year-old Murph is considerably less-physical than 26 YO Murph…I was under the impression it was an act initially, and it was, until he was really pissed. I would have bruises on my upper arms and shoulders, and he inadvertently head-butted me once and almost knocked me out.
I even had to pull him out of an opposing dugout. When I got there, he had the head coach pinned against the wall of the dugout with a forearm to the throat…Good tims, CSB
