Is there a defensive player out there that can win it? None of the offensive players have really stood out.

He's the best candidate and would have won in a landslide prior to this. Now I don't think he'll win it so I would go with McCaron myself but Winston should be ahead of Manziel.

If Kobe Bryant can win an MVP after raping a girl(Allegedly) then I don't see why Winston can't win the heisman(assuming he doesn't get suspended).
 
Manziel is still the best player in the country. That said, Winston deserves it this season. McCarron is a stud, but the Heisman is not a career achievement award. Winston has had a better season.

Disagree. As long as there are no charges, he will get the votes. The way media is, stories come and go. I know it wasn't rape, but everyone thought for a week or two that nobody would vote for Newton because it was obvious he got paid. He won the Heisman in a landslide.
