But I've actually had a conversation with another former Husky great QB from the past who had more than a drink of water in the NFL, and his stance is that when you lack height it just makes it harder and you have to overcome. Some can. Many can't.
Those 4" and a whole lot more maturity and poise and, likely, toughness. The Poly kids are always fucking tough.
I think Mariota is a much different player. Mariota makes a living off of the designed play 95% of the time. Johnny Football made a living off of the broken play 95% of the time.
Very different players all around.
