Think of union leadership as dem super delegates. Nobody is more supportive of democracy than the dem leadership and labor officials.
 
Long time ago I signed up for the Floorevering Union to do a specific project. At the orientation the labor goon said you better not even recarpet a room for Grandma with out us getting a cut
I hate having one boss. Two was plain unacceptable. Quit when the project was done and spent a career crushing that same union. The BA told me one time at lunch about 40 years ago that his mission in life was to make the company union

I can tell you in my circle it was overwhelmingly Trump over Biden the last cycle. I can’t speak for the pencil pushers though.
