First 3 seasons....

Southern Illinois
2001 1-10
2002 4-8
2003 10-2

Northern Illinois
2008 6-7
2009 7-6
2010 10-3

Minnesota
2011 3-9
2012 6-7
2013 8-2 (season still pending)

Michigan * insert rape analogy here * them, but other than that it looks pretty solid. It's not like the Goooophers are a power so 8-2 is good.

I was thinking the same thing watching that game. What recent history does Minnesota have over UW? What recruiting base do they tap into?

Minnesota's been a shit program for decades. UW had 6 years of dreck. Kill is doing an outstanding job at Minnesota compared to our fat frat boy.

Was about to say the same thing. 3 year turnaround. PSU would crush Sark

Penn State is pretty bad. Any road game is a tough game with Sark, but we have a much better team than Penn State. I really doubt they would crush Sark.

PSU plays tough ball. Sark is pussy ball. You choose

Pat Hill was TUFF as well. Penn State sucks. They got beat by Indiana by 20 and had to go to OT to be Illinois at home. Really bad example.

first time MN has won 4 straight Big 10 games in 40 years.

shit conference or not, conference wins are how we measure a coach's worth

respect++

So now Minnesota has surpassed us? I used to be depressed when Race would say we are Minnesota of the West and now they are better than us?!

Christ!

Good stat. Not that he doesn't deserve the credit because he has built the program, but is Kill even back coaching? He had to take some time off because of his seizures.

Yeah, but the Big 10 sucked when Minnesota was losing too. His team's gotten much better against a constant level of competition.

I think you can argue that Minnesota's not elite (because they're not) but not that they haven't substantially improved. Jerry Kill took over a horrible football team.

His wins are nice, but the Big 10 sucks. He will lose his last two to Wisconsin and Michigan State. is he building a good program or is he taking advantage of a really bad conference with a drecky non conference schedule?
