Jaymason "It's not my fault that my last name is" Willingham, 3* 2019 LB, Steilacoom HS, WA

New Fish
So, Jaymason visited UW and got a nice pic with him and Bobby Greggy. Even though we don't even follow him on twitter at all, I think this kid could blow up a little bit.

His hudl is pretty damn impressive. I see a kid who needs to learn how to play football, but has rare speed, acceleration and quickness for his size. He's a project, but one with a lot of upside. I think he could play SAM, MIK or WIL for us. I am not sure he's a guy we'd want to offer right now (April 1), but if he comes to camp with us this summer, he's going to get a long look.

DDY2 - a lot of upside though. A lot.

For the record, what he needs to learn, I think we can teach him. Some kids I don't feel that way about, but we do a great job of teaching people how to pursue, strike and tackle. That's what he needs.

Czech the hudl if you so wish.

Willingham is the worst name possible, but Jaymason makes up for it. Might be the name of my future son.

Pronounced with soft J I presume.

Yaymason Hernandez?

Yaymason Arroyo Neto. Espetacular. Sensacional.

I feel like my bored skills are shit this offseason. A while ago I would be able to answer this with a funny and witty poast. Nowadays, I just feel mediocre.

@Dennis_DeYoung where do you think this guy falls in relation to Alishauwan Taylor and Orin Patu? Taylor seems like an underrated SAM prospect to me and Patu maybe more of a BUCK but all of them are intriguring, fringe dudes who could develop into good players.

Also, not sure if you've seen Jamin Faalogo but I think he's another interesting prospect. Listed at 6-3, 240 and lines up all over the place. The guy even takes snaps at corner.

I think it would be fitting to see the last name willingham on a jersey, and i hope he lacks comportment and loves the say who chant.

I like him better than Taylor by a bunch. The worry with Patu is that he's got to gain a TON of weight, however, I like Patu. If I knew how actually tall these guys were it'd be easier to make an assessment. The pictures of Willingham next to Coop make it look like he's a legit 6-3. With Patu, I just don't know.

I don't like the idea of taking LBs under 6-2 in any circumstance.

Not a huge fan of the Fa'alogo kid. His hudl says 6-2, 220. He is a bit stiff. He looks like a kid that SJSU or something like that might have some interest in. He might sneak up to a WSU or Oregon State, but he just doesn't move with the fluidity.

When you compare him to Willingham it's night and day in terms of ease of movement.
